Q: Why should I use a travel agent?
A: In today’s constantly changing travel environment a certified travel advisor can help you to navigate the requirements and restrictions to travel. This helps to relieve some of the stress and lets you dream about your trip. I am certified with the Travel Institute, The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) and have many product certifications.
Q: Is travel insurance really necessary?
A: Travel insurance is recommended for all travelers. Insurance can cover many things, and most health insurance policies in the US do NOT cover you when traveling internationally. Then there’s the chance of a delayed trip — flight, lost bags, etc. Some insurance companies have now included COVID-19 clauses to protect your investment in case you test positive.
Q: Can I travel internationally without a COVID vaccine?
A: The list is constantly changing as countries roll out their vaccination scheme and the percentage of citizens who are vaccinated rises. Some countries are not requiring the vaccine, such as Costa Rica and Spain, but many of them are. I am up to date on all advisories and restrictions.
