Our trip to Poland and Germany, planned by Kathryn, was AMAZING! She listened to our “must do’s and see’s” and carefully planned an itinerary for us that we will never forget. Kathryn was incredibly patient with us too, even though we were so wishy-washy sometimes. We will always be grateful for the care she took for planning this special, personal trip just for us!

On our way to Liberia for our son's wedding, we had the opportunity to spend a few days in Morocco. Kathryn was fantastic in helping us create a tour plan and activities for our time in Casablanca and Marrakech. The tour guides and driver Kathryn found for us were excellent and the cooking class that Kathryn arranged in Marrakech was one of the best activities our family has done in our many trips abroad.

Kathryn set us up perfectly in hotels that were located in neighborhoods or areas of the city/town that matched our vibe, our interests, and central to all the activities we were excited about. Kathryn is absolutely fantastic! She worked with us to make sure our itinerary was perfect for us. We did 12 days on an Ireland and Scotland trip and had the best time! Everything was seamless when we got there. Bookings for hotels, B&Bs, tours, car rentals, flights - all set up and ready for us. She took all of the stress out of planning such a big trip. We just created an itinerary together and she did the rest! She responds quickly, making it very easy to reach her and get help or advice on short notice. Highly recommend Gerken Getaways!

My husband and i are still ruminating over the numerous lasting memories of visiting London during a historic time. For me the highlight was the food tour. i cant wait to try it out the east end version. We loved the quick walk to the tubes/buses and felt comfortable walking around. We did have an issue with our room on the second day - we were upgraded for the rest of the trip. We are already planning a new adventure for our 15th anniversary!

Kathryn helped me plan the trip of a lifetime, visiting relatives I had never met and doing solo travel in both Spain and England. She knew about options I didn’t know existed and I had a wonderful mix of luxury, economy, independence, and handholding. She took care of planes and trains, hotels, a tour, and gave me tips on fantastic things to do that didn’t cost anything at all. 5 out of 5 stars!

Kathryn did a wonderful job of getting us the best rooms and packages onboard. We were traveling as a family (4 adults) and she found us a suite in the Haven (private area) which was lovely! Top floor center of the ship with enough room for all of us. She was also able to get us packages (drinks, food) that we had no idea about and really saved us money and time. She also planned our shore excursions that we did separately from the cruise choices and we loved them. When you're going to Rome or another city with such strong history and you are only there for one day, you need to see and hear it all. We will definitely use her again in Europe and my sons still talk about our tour of Rome.
